I have been in the insurance industry since 1979. After graduating from the University of Oregon, I began my insurance career as a Claims Representative with Fireman's Fund Insurance Company, handling property and casualty claims. In 1996, I became a sales agent with Genworth Financial as a specialist in Long Term Care Insurance.
In 1999, I left Genworth Financial to become an independent insurance agent with ICON Insurance Services, where I help and continue to help individuals and small business owners with Life, Health, Disability and Long Term Care Insurance planning as well as Group Health Benefits.
Seeing the need to provide my clients with both insurance and financial solutions, from a wide variety of carriers,I created At The Helm Insurance & Financial Services. My “hands on” approach allows me to interact directly both with clients and carriers. I have earned several professional designations, including the CLTC (Certified in Long Term Care). I am active in numerous professional and community organizations, including serving as the President of California Women Business Owners (CWBO) and president of the Del Rey Yacht Club Auxiliary.
In my spare time, I enjoy sailing, golfing, attending cultural events, but most of all, spending time with my two adult children, Jennifer and David.
